Sue Choco Kit (DIY - Make Your Own Chocolate)

“ As a child, I used to always get this kit as a fun activity-treat when we would go to the supermarket after school. I used to play the online Sue games which were linked to a larger Sue universe (apparently there were webisodes that ran until 2010 - I had no idea!), and for me this was such a fun thing for me to have.

It merged the online world with my real world in a way. The chocolate kit involved making chocolate using chocolate moulds, chocolate cream, strawberry cream, and a small biscuit, which would then be frozen afterwards for later consumption. The box would come with a sticker dress-up element which I thought to be the most entertaining part of all of it! I miss when snacks used to combine some sort of activity element or made kids feel more involved in the world of something they loved. Like when crisps had trading cards.

I miss when activity and play were central to learning and fun. The Sue Choco Kit isn't pervasively available online, but I got mine from Carrefour in the U.A.E (where I always used to get it growing up anyways). I plan to make it soon but honestly, it's now a commemoration product more than anything else!”
